Croeso nol! Our topic this term is "Once upon a time in Wales". We will be finding out about welsh stories and traditions and what makes us proud to be Welsh.
We have already visited Guto Nyth Bran's statue and grave in Mountain Ash and we will be learning the story of this great Welsh legend.
We will be researching Rhiannon Roberts a Welsh artist and will be creating our own artwork in her style to be entered into the School Eisteddfod.
We will also be visiting St Fagans on Wednesday 12th February to find out what life was like in Wales in the past. More details to follow on Seesaw.
Every Monday afternoon this term our class will be taking part in fitness sessions with Cardiff City Premier Stars. Thursdays are also PE day. Please wear PE kit to school on these days.
Spelling lists will be sent home on Fridays for your child to practise. They will not be tested but will take part in games and activities that will help them to spell these words in school the following week.
Please remember to listen to your child read regularly at home too. It is a really important life skill. They can read their school book, own books at home, comics, magazines or even newspapers. It all helps them to progress and develop a love of reading.
Every Friday afternoon our class are lucky to have Mandarin lessons from a lady studying in Cardiff. Ask your child what they can say in Mandarin!
