Mrs Evans/ Miss Hall

smileyWelcome to Dosbarth Sam Tansmiley

Our topic this term is

Vets and Pets

This term we are learning all about what a vet does and how they can help poorly animals. We will also be learning about the different animals that people keep as pets and how to keep them happy and healthy.

We have had a visit from a lovely lady called Sarah, who works for the charity PDSA. She is a veterinary nurse and works in the PDSA surgery in Cardiff. She spoke to us all about what she does and how they care for the sick pets that come in. She also brought in her friend 'Chocolate Cat' for us to meet. She let us use her stethoscope to listen to our heartbeat.  Check out the pictures on SeeSaw.

I would also like to thank the parents that gave voluntary contributions towards our healthy smoothies last term. We very much appreciate it and the children loved chopping and making the smoothies.

The People's Vet - trailer

The People's Vet is a new TV series that will give viewers an exclusive look behind the scenes of two of PDSA's busiest pet hospitals. Our dedicated clinical staff can be seen tackling everything from mending a puppy's broken leg to treating a rabbit with hypothermia, a severe case of 'dog breath' to a stray chicken - no two days are the same.

Please can you ensure that all items of pupils clothing are clearly labelled.
